Our Team
Matthew Mitrione, CEO
Mitrione is a former NFL athlete who never understood the impact that nutrition has on sports performance until he suffered what he was told to be a career-ending injury with the New York Giants during the 2002 season. After 6 surgeries, more than one year on crutches, and months of rehab, Mitrione was fortunate enough to work with a trainer who addressed nutrition and supplementation in his training regimen. Mitrione was able to make the Minnesota Vikings active roster in 2005 after being told it would be impossible. This prompted him to begin researching and exploring how he could use his experience to help other athletes. Thus, EDEN was born.
Mitrione brings first-hand experience as an athlete which allows him to understand their needs. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University.
